Art Therapy Teachings – Let me help you help yourself!

Are you depressed?   Are you battling emotional stress or trauma?   Do you or your child have ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia or even Petit-Mal Epilepsy?   Are you unhappy?  Are you seeking some fun in your life?

Answered “Yes” to anyone of these questions? Then my Art Therapy teachings will benefit you.

The process I use is a structured path for creating fun and beautiful art from drawing certain patterns which I break down into elemental strokes. No recognized artistic ability is required at all and it is open for people of all ages and abilities.

There is no right or wrong way of drawing these structured patterns. It is a non-verbal way to express thoughts, feelings and experiences. Each student is encouraged to explore, discover and embrace their own personal style. The same basic instructions are followed but all student’s artwork is unique.

It offers an intentional shift in perspective and focus and is lightheartedly fun and relaxing.

You can book me for a face-to-face meetup or via Skype.

Case Studies

“My daughter Wendy, is 12 years old and has been diagnosed with ADHD. She could never focus for more than 5 minutes especially when it came to doing school work. I have been doing Zentangle® art myself and read about how it has helped so many other people, so I decided to give it a go and get Wendy to draw one tile. The very first time she has done it, she focused for one and a half hour without any breaks. We both were so surprised and couldn’t believe it. She has been drawing a few tiles since then and she can now focus on school work without getting distracted. I am so grateful for finding this unique technique. Thank you!” ~ Mrs. Jacobs

“My niece has gone through intense trauma and has become house bound. She never played outside anymore neither did she go anywhere with her family. Her mother, distraught at what has happened to her little girl, started searching for ways to help her. She found a Psychiatrist who mentioned the benefits of drawing by using the Zentangle® method. After her first lesson at home, she did nothing else except drawing the patterns she has learned. Four days later when her Mother said she has to run some errands, Sarah stood outside their house and told her mom she is coming with.” ~ Aunt of Sarah, Vanessa Williamson
